In the event of a conflict between the Shared Business Hosting Agreement and the Universal Terms of Service, the Universal Terms of Service will control.
Our Shared Business Hosting is an entry-level web hosting product that is both the most popular and the least expensive, often attractive for small and medium businesses, blogs, portfolios, and websites with moderate amounts of traffic. With Shared Business Hosting, multiple websites share a large server and its resources, including storage, bandwidth, and disk space. With Shared Business Hosting, the web host is responsible for all of the server maintenance and upkeep.

In order to ensure that our customers do not experience an interruption or loss of services, all the services that InMotion Hosting offers are setup on automatic renewal. Automatic renewal renews the applicable service upon expiration of the then current term for a renewal period equal in time to the most recent service period. Renewals will be charged at the current rate for the service being renewed.
Renewals will happen on the date listed in the Account Management Panel(AMP), with the exception of domain registrations and Secure Socket Layer(SSL) renewal, which both renew two weeks prior to the date listed to ensure payment can be processed and registration renewed in a timely manner to avoid service interruption.
Autorenewal can be turned off in the AMP but must be done prior to the renewal date for the service. If the auto renewal is turned off, payments must be made in the AMP by the renewal date to avoid service interruptions.
If for any reason InMotion Hosting is not able to take the payment from the Payment Method you have on file, and you fail to respond to our notices, your services will expire. It is your responsibility to keep your Payment Method information current.
To cancel your account, or turn off auto-renewal please contact our Customer Service Department at any time. We recommend calling us at 888-321-4678 ext 4 (US customers) or +1-757-416-6575 ext 4 (international customers) as the fastest method, followed by chat, and then creating a ticket if necessary.
The services may also be cancelled by either the customer or InMotion Hosting by giving the other thirty (30) days prior written notice. Cancellation is subject to an early cancellation fee payable by the customer.
The Company, at any time, without notice, if, in InMotion Hosting’s sole and absolute discretion, the customer is in violation of any term or condition of the Terms of Service or any related agreements, Authorized User Policy, or the customer’s use of the services to disrupt or, in InMotion Hosting’s sole and absolute discretion, could cause disruption of InMotion Hosting’s business operations.

All (6) six month and longer term hosting plans for our Shared Business Hosting packages are covered by our unmatched 90-day money back guarantee. Subscription cancellations outside of our 90-day money back guarantee for the initial service will be subject to an early termination fee.
Monthly Pro Plan packages are eligible for a full refund for 30 days. The setup fee is non-refundable.
If a customer has registered or transferred any domain as part of a “Free Domain Name” promotion in connection with the account, upon cancellation with eligibility for a refund, the customer’s refund will be reduced by the price of the domain of $15.99 per year and a $5.00 administrative fee. Subscriber will retain full ownership and control of any such domain names.
All subscription renewals will be final and no refund is available regardless of the service plan term.
InMotion Hosting offers, as an optional service to its clients, an automated backup solution (“Backup Manager”) for an additional service charge. Backup Manager will provide regular automated data backups on accounts equal to or less than 10 gigabytes in total size. Additional backup space for Backup Manager is available for an additional service charge. InMotion Hosting is not responsible for monitoring account size. Accounts exceeding the backup limit to which a customer subscribes will not be included in regular data backups.
While InMotion Hosting maintains the previously stated backups for clients choosing to subscribe to Backup Manager, InMotion Hosting assumes no liability as to the availability or completeness of client data backups. Each client is expected and encouraged to maintain backup copies of their own data. Backup Manager is a non-refundable subscription but can be cancelled any time.
Upon Cancellation or Suspension for nonpayment, all data is purged from the server.
Shared Business Hosting has the ability to purchase additional IPs. These IPs are assigned to the customer but the right to use that IP address shall belong only to InMotion Hosting. The customer shall have no right to use that IP address except as permitted by InMotion Hosting’s Terms of service.
InMotion Hosting, shall maintain and control ownership of all Internet Protocol numbers and addresses that have been assigned to the customer, and InMotion Hosting reserves the right to change or remove any and all such Internet Protocol numbers and addresses, in its sole and absolute discretion.
Bandwidth and Disk Usage
While IMH offers unlimited disk space & bandwidth, the purpose of an IMH hosting account is to host websites. Using a hosting account primarily for online file storage or archiving electronic files is prohibited.
IMH Shared Business Hosting plans are shared hosting environments, so to ensure fast & reliable service to all of our clients, accounts that adversely affect server or network performance must correct these issues or will be asked to upgrade to a virtual or dedicated server.
Business Hosting Pro Plan Uptime SLA
After your purchase of a Business Class Pro account, you may contact Customer Support to have your physical uptime checked no more than once within a 30-day period. If your Business Class Pro Server has a physical downtime that is not within the 99.999% uptime you may receive one month of credit on your account. Approval of the credit is at the discretion of InMotion Hosting, dependent upon the results of the check performed by InMotion Hosting Customer Support. Third-party monitoring service reports may not be used for justification due to a variety of factors, including the monitor’s network capacity and reliability. The uptime of the server is defined as the reported uptime from the operating system and the Apache Web Server which may differ from the uptime reported by other individual services. If an approved downtime event is reported following a check you request, you must request your credit within one (1) week of receiving notification of such a report.
Scheduled downtime for server maintenance is not regarded as downtime for purposes of relevance for this credit, nor is downtime caused by unavoidable acts of God, nor by third-party digital or physical attacks on InMotion Hosting servers and data centers, such as direct denial of service (DDoS) attacks, or other forms of hacking. Interruptions in service caused by you from custom scripting, coding or the installation of third-party applications are likewise not eligible to be counted against downtime. InMotion Hosting reserves the right to measure uptime on its own at any time.
